Planning and praying….it’s what’s for breakfast (along with a protein drink)….
It takes lots of planning to prepare for growing season. This year we are upping our greens game, more lettuce, spinach, arugula, etc. We have strawberries blooming in the high tunnel, and we are working on a new tomato space! Still waiting to see what impact this last freeze had on field strawberries (lots of praying on that). Blackberries and blueberries are still dormant, but this coming warm weather should wake them up. AND the girls are providing about 12 dozen eggs a day!
God speaks so often in His Word about ‘plans’…in Psalms, His word reminds us that He planned for us before we were even conceived. In Proverbs, we are encouraged to commit all our plans to Him. In Jeremiah He talks about plans to provide a future and a hope. Plans are critical, but even more so is His call to action. ‘In their hearts, man plans his course, but the Lord establishes his steps (Prov. 16:9)’
So, today, just like everyday, we are taking tiny steps in faith. Planting a seed here and there, pulling the weeds that threaten to crowd out growth, and re-evaluating our plans and vision so that we don’t stray off course…
